Before Mofo’s southern festivities get underway, venture to Moonah and pay your respects to Evil Goat: a conceptual art project disguised as a doom noise band with a penchant for mantra, repetition and sonic blasphemy. Goat alumni and Tassie boys Scot Cotterell and Andrew Harper have taken up residence at the Moonah Arts Centre to present an exhibition of sorts to chronicle the Goat’s illustrious career. But first—Evil Goat will headline a one-day mini-Mofo-fest featuring Tasmanian bands M.O.I.O, PURE, Crypt Vapor, Phillipa Stafford, Comrad XERO and Cycle. Oh yeah.
